Famous Comic Book Weddings

A wedding is a wonderful thing and many attend such ceremonies but not with a full heart. Weddings can sometimes be less of a thrill for some, especially since most weddings look alike from the outside. But there are those who would never let theirs be just another wedding so they’ve started looking for ways to step out of the box.

Themed weddings are usually the first step towards something different from the traditional boring wedding. And the most original theme is a comic book wedding. Many couples, mostly comic book lovers, have given these weddings a try starting from the invitations to the wedding cake. But there is one particular wedding that made the press a while back.

Among famous comic book weddings this one really took the cake – a themed cake, of course. A couple from the United Kingdom decided to take their love of comics and make it as a theme for their wedding. They not only themed the wedding, but they completely abandoned the white dress thing and went with superhero costumes.

There have been other comic book themed weddings but this one really made the news with its simplicity and entertaining nature. The bride was dressed up as Wonder Woman, as she said that she always admired the comic book character, and the groom was Batman. True fans of comic books, they made the Power Puff Girls to be the bridesmaids and Robin stood next to Batman as the best man. If that wasn’t enough, they made sure to include another famous character: the Joker was the DJ.

This is now a famous comic book wedding but many others have also turned to the comics to get some ideas that would make their special day look and feel wonderful in a unique way. Wedding themes based on comic books will probably always remain unique.
